Suzanne, Aromatherapist

About Me

Hi, I’m Suzanne, a fully qualified Aromatherapy and Massage therapist and owner of Cottage Garden Aromatherapy. I am fully insured and a professional member of the Complementary Therapies Association (CThA).

Nature has always been important to me and I spend many an hour tending to my cottage garden filled with flowers, herbs and vegetables. Some of the more common essential oils used in aromatherapy treatments are derived from plants that I grow in my own  garden such as rose, chamomile, lavender, marjoram, and thyme. It's no wonder I feel a sense of calm and peacefulness when I'm out there getting my hands dirty!

Complementary therapies have always been my go-to, to help address minor health conditions. For me, it’s about treating the root cause of the condition, not just the symptoms. If my body is out of balance, I want to understand what’s causing it.

Many years ago, I studied a Swedish massage and beauty course. At the time, I was unable to pursue these as a career due to life commitments. More recently, however, I came across the Cotswold Academy in Cirencester, a centre for complementary therapies. The opportunity to learn more about aromatherapy, a form of complementary therapy I have been interested in for a long time, appealed to my passion of nature and helping others. I took the plunge and embarked on an in-depth aromatherapy course and achieved a Level 3 ITEC Diploma in Aromatherapy and Massage. Studying aromatherapy has increased my awareness of just how amazing and powerful nature really is and has enhanced my passion to share this knowledge and support others on their wellness journey, the natural way.
